Es el primer día del viaje al norte de Suecia y estamos en el tren para la noche — no me imaginé que un viaje por diecisiete horas podría ser agradable, pero me ha sorprendido con las conversaciones y vistas increíbles en el camino. Me desperté con la vista de un paisaje maravilloso cubierto de nieve y yo sentí como si hubiera cogido el “polar express.” Asi que es muy apropiado que durante la próxima semana va hacer pasado con los renos, las hogueras, y muchos peleas de nieve.

It is the first day of our trip to the north of Sweden and we are in an overnight train – I didn’t imagine that a trip for 17 hours could be enjoyable, but I was surprised with the conversations and incredible views during the journey. I awoke to the sight of a beautiful landscape covered in snow and I felt like I had taken the “Polar Express.” So it is fitting that this next week is going involve reindeer, bonfires, and many snowball fights.

Trineos de perros fue estimulante — no podría creer la velocidad de estos huskies. A primera vista, no me convenció que lo sería un buen experiencia porque los animales estaban haciendo mucho ruida y me recordó a los otros veces con TGS cuando estábamos expuestos el tratamiento inmoral de animales, si en India por ejemplo. Pero, después conversación con el cuidador me di cuenta si los perros comer bien (dos comidas un día de pescado) y hacer mucho ejercicio (por lo menos diez kilometres un día).

Dog sledding was exhilarating – I could not believe the speed of these huskies. At first glance, I was not convinced it would be a good experience because the animals were making a lot noise and reminded me of other times when we were exposed the unethical treatment of animals, like in India for example. But after conversation with the caregiver I realized if dogs eat well (two meals a day of fish) and get plenty of exercise (at least ten kilometers one day).

Conocí los renos hoy. Aunque es algo infantil, me pareció increíble ver el reno en su hábitat natural. Cuando yo era joven imaginé los renos ser rápido y majestuoso, alineados uno por uno detrás de un trineo.  Estos pensamientos siempre vienen sobre la vez de Navidad, y continuar durante la primera caída de nieve. Entonces, aunque no creo que la misma si mi uno misma más joven, despertó un poquito de magia dentro de mí, y estoy muy emocionado compartir esos emociones con mis hermanos menores esto Navidad.

I met the reindeer today. Although it is childish, it was amazing to see reindeer in their natural habitat. When I was young I figured reindeer would be fast and majestic, lined up one by one behind a sled. These thoughts always come over Christmas time, and continue during the first snowfall. So, although I don’t think the same now, seeing reindeer still woke a little magic in me, and I’m excited to share these emotions with my younger siblings this Christmas.

Ví un luz de norte este noche. No ví los auroras, pero espero que vaya ver ellos mañana. Aunque, si esto luz, esto verde y mágico luz, es el solo luz yo veo – te burlas, pero suficiente para este viaje.

I saw a northern light tonight. I did not see the lights, but I hope I will see them tomorrow. However, if this light, this green and magical light, is the only light I see – it will be enough for this trip.

Este noche ví los auroras danzan atrás el cielo. Fue muy increíble. Fue muy hermoso. Ellos fue lo suficientemente fuerte ver en la ciudad con todos los luzes de civilización. Y en la natura, sin los luzes de humanos, fue possible ver los arroyos verde flujo a través de cielo de noche.

Tonight I saw the aurora dancing across the sky. It was really amazing. It was very beautiful. They were strong enough to see in the city with all lights of civilization. And in nature it was possible to see the green streams flow through night sky.
