Whether getting lost on the subway or walking for miles by foot, I always found myself encountering new fascinating sights in the city of New York. Home to the yellow taxi cab and the giant slices of pizza, NYC is constantly glowing and humming even into the wee hours of the night.

Amongst with the bright lights are advertisements and Times Square is the breeding ground for these images. I have never seen so many signs in one place in my life! It was incredible.

But, not all of NYC is this bright. In fact some areas are very nice and relaxing, like Central Park and the Highline. These are a couple of places that I found perfect for reading, writing, and even making some fun Vine videos with friends. I also really enjoyed Little Italy and China Town, which definitely had less advertisements, and instead had a more market-like vibe. There were small stands with scarfs and sunglasses in many areas;  China Town and Little Italy were full of fun restaurants and cute shops.

Basically whether you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a big city, or a nice place to read poetry, I would recommend New York!
